Buddyup.com was founded in 1999 in Chicago. It was beta tested in the first quarter of 2000 and went live in Chicago and Aspen in the second quarter. In the third quarter it expanded to Los Angeles. In the fourth quarter of 2000, it again expanded further to include San Diego and in January of 2001 included San Francisco, Seattle, and New York.  Most recently, Atlanta, Boston, Denver, Minneapolis, Portland, Sacramento, and Washington (DC).  

Buddyup.com is owned and operated by GLOMNET, LLC. It is closely held and privately funded.
